Crop Insect Management Update Scheduled
Northern Illinois field crop insect issues will be addressed in a workshop on Thursday, June 26, at the Crops Training Center in Shabbona. Register by June 23; the cost is $30. 
All (Mostly) Quiet on the Insect Front
Despite relative calm with respect to insect pests in Illinois, reports continue to be received on cutworm injury, especially from the westernmost counties of the central third of the state. Where you can, keep scouting for at least two more weeks.
Just In--Rootworm Larvae Detected in Indiana
First instar corn rootworms were found in Indiana on June 4. In areas where saturated soils are common, rootworm larval populations are likely to experience considerable mortality.
